Park And Repair Your Ship
Use landing zones for protection and restore shield and hull before the next route.
Park In A Landing Zone
Some habitable planets, moons, and dwarf planets have landing zones. A ship parked in the landing zone at its current location cannot be attacked by other players.
Parking costs one step, and launching costs another. A parked ship cannot attack or travel.
Reserve a step for departure. If launching uses your final step, you cannot move until the next tick.
Restore Shield And Hull
Planet Services may offer ship repairs at planets, moons, and dwarf planets.
Repair cost depends on missing shield and hull. A fully repaired ship has no repair cost.
Repairs cost one step. Reserve that step before arriving with damage.
Protect Inactive Characters
When possible, end valuable routes at a body with services. Open space has no repairs or safe landing zone.
Park before taking a break when a landing zone is available. A launched ship remains in the world and can be attacked while its character is inactive.
Defender reports wait for that character in chronological order. Only the active character receives an immediate notice, and you must review waiting reports before switching away.
Reserve both credits and one step for repairs when you expect combat risk.
