Help Overview

Start Your First Character

Create a character, review your starting resources, and complete a short trade route from Earth.

Create Your Character And Ship

Setup requires a unique character name and a name for your Rusty Shuttle. Character and ship names are permanent, so review both before confirming.

Each character starts independently on Earth with 500 credits, a named Rusty Shuttle, and the entire Sol system charted.

Use the Rusty Shuttle for short trips and small trades. It cannot initiate combat against another player. Every ship you buy also requires a permanent name, but different ships may use the same name.

Complete A Short Trade Route

Open Cockpit first. Check your exact location, nearby captains, ship condition, and remaining navigation steps before launching.

Open Planet Services on Earth. Review local goods, repair costs, available ships and modules, and the landing zone before spending credits.

Use Navigation to choose a nearby destination, then sell where demand produces a better price. Keep at least one step if you need to repair, install or remove a module, park, or launch before the next tick.

Finish your first route at a port and keep credits available for travel and repairs. Learn the route before committing all your credits to cargo.

Prioritize Cargo, Protection, And Reserves

Reserve credits for travel and repairs. Avoid a purchase that reduces your balance to zero.

Cargo capacity supports trade income. Shield, hull, and speed reduce travel risk. Firepower becomes useful after you replace the starter shuttle and choose to enter combat.

Use short routes between planets, moons, or dwarf planets with services while learning step costs, tick timing, and price changes.
