Travel Between Star Systems
Locate wormholes, chart destination systems, and plan manual or autopilot routes between systems.
Locate A Wormhole
Star systems are connected by named wormholes at selected waypoints. Travel manually through the waypoints shown in Cockpit until a wormhole appears as a separate object at your exact location.
A wormhole is not a standard destination or port. To use it, your ship must be launched, autopilot must be inactive, and you must be at the wormhole's waypoint.
Use A Wormhole
Select the wormhole in Cockpit to travel to its paired waypoint in another star system. Both ends have the same wormhole name, which identifies the connection for the return trip.
A crossing has the cost of one normal travel leg: one navigation point plus the usual credit cost. If you cannot pay, emergency drive uses two navigation points instead. Your first arrival charts the entire destination system for that captain.
Plan Routes Across Systems
After both systems are charted, their bodies appear as Navigation destinations. A cross-system route lists each wormhole jump and includes every crossing in its total steps and estimated credit cost.
At level 15, you can buy a navigation computer for 250,000 credits on a high-tech planet and install it for one navigation point. It can run autopilot along the shortest route through charted systems and their wormholes.
Autopilot follows the same navigation-point, credit, and emergency-drive rules as manual travel. It continues at game ticks while you are offline or another character is active. Cancel it before attempting a manual wormhole crossing.
